Touch-Pay Advanced Instructions on Entering Transactions
Instructions for Option 1: Credit Card Transaction without Address Verification Fields
1. Call Authorization Number: 1-866.... (will be provided)
2. System says "Welcome to Touch-Pay Advanced..." and gives you option for the type of transaction you want to enter. 
  • In this case enter "1" for Standard Credit Card transaction (meaning without address verification fields)

3. System says "Enter your Touch-Pay Advanced pin number, then press #"

  • Enter your assigned Touch-Pay Advanced pin number and press the "#" sign.

4. System says "Enter the customer's credit card number, then press #"

  • Enter the customer's credit card number then press the "#" sign. 

5. System says "Enter the customer's expiration date, then press #"

  • Enter the customer's 4 digit credit card expiration date (in MMYY format: example December 2010 would be "1210") then press the "#" sign. 

6. System says "Enter the customer's CVV2 code, then press #"

  • Enter the customer's CVV2 code (this is the special 3 digit code on the back of Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards and the special 4-digit code on the front of American Express cards.

7. System says "Enter the transaction amount, then press #"

  • Enter the amount of the transaction using the "*" key on your phone as the decimal point separating dollars and cent's.  For example, if the transaction amount is $10.85 you would punch in "10 * 85". Then press "#".

8. The system will give you the transaction response (Approved or Not approved and the reason), along with the CVV2 code response code as returned by your online payment gateway.

  • After the response is given press "1" to repeat the response code or "2" to return to the main menu.
  • You will now be able to view this touch-tone transaction in your Touch-Pay Advanced Merchant Control Panel and track which of your users submitted the transaction.

Note:
Though it’s not mandatory, it is recommended that you obtain the customer’s signature whenever possible, this helps you in case your customer disputes the charge. However, we do realize that most phone order merchants do not require signatures, you’re free to do what you feel is best for your business in this case. If most of your transactions are done face to face you may obtain the customer’s signature by having them sign manual receipts, which may be purchased from your merchant account provider or your local office store.
